True Blue smooth smoothie Saturday 💙🩵

Hello my name is Nelly. I have a few smoothie recipes that I have mastered and I am in love with them. I have way too many recipes to share but in this vlog I am sharing 3 of my go to tasty smoothie recipes with you.

“OMG! I have 15 minutes to walk out of the door.” Does that sound familiar. You are running late wondering if a coffee or donut count as breakfast. Yes, we have all be there.

Breakfast - Break means to stop or interrupt something and fast means a period of not eating.
Breakfast is to break your fast. Your body has been a rest since 7:00pm with no food. You went to bed about 10:00pm. You wake up at 5:00am for your morning workout. You are back home from your workout at 7:00am. Your body has been fasting for 12 hours. (If you are like me you cannot eat before the gym). Your first meal of the day is the meal you will break your fast with. For example, eating window is from 11:00am - 6:00pm or 12:pm - 7:00pm. If you are hungry before 12:00pm you can only eat raw food (nothing cooked). This is something with 30 - 60 days of consistency you will automatically feel the results. Speaking from experience, to be realistic I would apply a minimum 4 days per week to start the first 2 weeks. This allows you to me to be realistic, give myself grace and have room for era. Over time you will automatically fast before 12:00pm a 6 or 7 days per week.

Life gets busy. Some seasons when slow morning and free time are on our side. Some season are on go mode with adulting. Between work, self-care, family, school, workouts, meetings, appointments, cooking and everything else preparing a meal can be a major job within it self. This is exactly why smoothies have become one of my favorite meals. Rather it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It healthy, quick, smoothly delicious and great for body health. Speaking from experience, I have noticed the best time to drink smoothie is in the morning. It sets the tone for my day especially after my morning workout. It allows me to be mindful of what I put into my body for the remained of the day. Not perfect, just mindful. Once that tone is set, it is easy to watch your calories intake for the day. You will begin to look at calories like money. You see a cup of mango lemonade is 400 calories aka $400.00. That’s too much money honey you can afford it this week lol. Real talk! You will look at your food intake completely different.

Why you should aim for a smoothie at least 4x per week:

  • Eating more fruits and vegetables - Let’s keep it real. Most of us are not eating enough produce daily. You are guaranteed to get in spinach, kale, cucumber, celery, carrots and much more.

  • Set the tone for your day - Creating healthy habits. Realizing that grabbing something fast can also be healthy.

  • Saves time - Freezing smoothie ingredients into individual bags. Simply dump and blend.

  • Saves money - Buying breakfast and lunch adds up quickly. Let’s do some quick math. $20 × 5 days per week is $100 per week x 4 weeks totals $400.00 per month on fast food. Making a smoothie saves money that your body, bills and wallets will that you for later.

  • Body goals - Maintain your weight or losing weight a smoothie 4+ days per week is going to be your best friend. Ingredients like Chia seeds make you feel fuller for longer without feeling bloated.

  • Natural energy and confidence - Fuel your energy and feel unstoppable. Yes, drinking your smoothie will have you feeling snatched and sexy lol. You are increasing your vitamin intake, maintaining your health, and staying hydrated.
