physical fitness is deeper than exercise
When most people hear physical fitness they immediately see someone lifting weights, running a marathon, or surviving a workout that makes them question every decision they’ve ever made 😂. Don’t get me wrong, exercising is a part of the physical fitness journey here at Fit Life Lit Life, we believe it is much deeper and bigger than what happens in your workout routine.
Physical fitness is views as how to take care of your body and show up for your body. Physical fitness is how you care for your body from the day you wake up to the time you go to sleep. Some things come automatic and natural for many of us that we do view them as physical fitness when in reality they are 😊. Picture it as your daily physical check list. Did you wake up this morning? Did you move your body today? Did you sweat today? Did drink water today? Did you eat natural fruits and vegetables today? Did you comb your hair (No judgement just checking 😂).
“Don’t chase numbers, chase the feeling and let the results follow.” - FLLL
Here at FLLL we do not focus on perfection, we do not chase reflection but we do chase consistency by being realistic, giving yourself grace and not making excuses. You do not have to swear to lay off pizza forever or eating like a rabbit 7 days per week (I am never laying off pizza 😂😋). Fact is, one healthy meal will not transform your body just like one donut will not ruin your body. Giving yourself grace with mindful eating looks like enjoying that slice of cheesecake without feeling guilty. Allow one moment to be a moment. The next day start fresh with mindful eating as if nothing happened The goals is to be make better decisions. To make sure the good things you do outweigh the “bad”/”unhealthy” things you do. That is what a better lifestyle looks like. That is what sustainable living looks like. Fact is what we do repeatedly shapes our future.

Annual dental check ups - The dentist is scary for a lot of us but find a dentist you trust, schedule an appointment and show up for that appointment
Monthly or quarterly body massages and facial - This is not a treat it is an necessity the older you get
Bi weekly or monthly wellness/fitness event (go solo if you must) physical fitness is getting comfortable doing things alone. Become your favorite company. Become your favorite cup of tea.
Handle business (Dreams and goals) - Tackle your monthly, quarterly or annual task done. Success does not happen overnight but it does happen action and action builds confidence. Being a person who does exactly what they said they are doing to do.
Engage in new fitness/wellness groups - Dance class, 5k or 10k runs, stretching/yoga class, tennis club, boxing, etc. This is a great way to challenge your body, target different muscles groups, get physically out of the house and meet new people (network, connections, friendship, or dating).
Physical fitness build confidence from within. It does not come from the outfit 100%. It comes from you showing up for yourself, taking your time with yourself, and putting in effort for yourself. Confidence comes from you doing things alone as well. There comes a day when waiting for people has caused you to miss out of things in your life. People spend so much time waiting on people to join them that they forgot life is happening rather they show up or not. Your time and happiness should never depend on someone’s else's availability. What you want to do, try and engage in, do it! You are blessed with the time, transportation and money to go so just go.
